Brian and Carol Walker Honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award at The Sunderland Echo Portfolio Awards

Walker Filtration are delighted to announce that Chairman and Founders, Brian and Carol Walker have been awarded the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award, at the Sunderland Echo Portfolio Awards that took place on Thursday 26th October 2017.
The regional awards, held at Sunderland football club’s Stadium of Light, recognises innovative businesses and catalysts for development in the region. Brian formed Walker Filtration with his wife Carol Walker in 1983. The Washington based headquartered Walker Filtration Group has grown to serve a global filtration market in over one hundred countries, expanding its offices to the Americas, Asia and Australasia. The award recognises 34 years of industry leading technology, phenomenal growth, job creation in the region and subsequent global success.
Brian Walker commented “We are honoured to be given this award and I thank the Sunderland Echo Portfolio Awards for their recognition. We have always been passionate about enterprise and engineering in the North East and we are committed to continuing the long-standing history of manufacturing in the region.

This award follows Walker Filtration being 5-time Queen’s award winners for Enterprise in Innovation, Export and International Trade and follows a particularly successful year for Walker Filtration – launching 3 new product platforms out their head office as well as growing their employee team globally.
